Who Is Eligible for CHAS Dental Subsidies in Singapore?

CHAS Blue / CHAS Orange — Eligibility based on household income or Annual Value criteria.
Merdeka Generation (MG) — Singapore Citizens born from 1950 to 1959 with additional subsidies.
Pioneer Generation (PG) — Singapore Citizens born in 1949 or earlier with enhanced subsidies.

What Treatments Can Be Subsidised?

CHAS dental subsidies can be used for general dentistry services such as check-ups, scaling, and fillings. They also cover more advanced treatments, including root canal procedures. In addition, patients may use CHAS subsidies for certain restorative treatments like dentures, subject to eligibility and subsidy limits.

Note: Subsidy applicability and caps depend on procedure type/complexity and card category. Patients pay any remaining balance after subsidy.

  • Expanded access for CHAS Orange — Preventive procedures broadened.
  • Enhanced transparency — Published fee benchmarks for common dental items; clinics to display information clearly.
  • Governance measures — Additional justification required for charges above benchmarks.
  • Flexi-MediSave linkage (roll-out per MOH timeline) — For older adults, selected dental items may use Flexi-MediSave up to the published limits
