What is All-on-4 Dental Implants?
All-on-4 is a full arch tooth replacement treatment that uses just four strategically placed implants to support a complete set of fixed teeth — upper, lower, or both. Also known as “teeth in a day,” the procedure allows most patients to leave the clinic with a temporary fixed bridge on the same day as surgery.
It is one of the most cost-effective permanent alternatives to dentures available in Singapore, and is partially claimable under MediSave.

FAQ on All-on-4 Dental Implants
All-on-4 implants at Meiplus Dentalcare start from $13,980 per arch after a MediSave deduction of $5,310. The total cost depends on your individual needs, including any required extractions, bone grafting, and the materials selected for your final bridge. A detailed cost breakdown is provided after your consultation and CT scan assessment. Prices stated are subject to prevailing GST.
Yes. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents can use MediSave to offset the surgical component of the All-on-4 procedure, subject to CPF Board withdrawal limits. CHAS cardholders may also use their subsidy for preparatory treatments such as extractions and consultations. Our team will guide you through the claims process at your appointment. Clinic fees are subject to prevailing GST; MediSave claim amounts are as set by MOH.
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, so you will not feel pain during surgery — only mild pressure or vibration. After the procedure, some swelling and discomfort is normal for a few days and is typically managed with prescribed pain medication. Most patients find the recovery more comfortable than expected.
With proper oral hygiene and regular dental check-ups, the implants themselves can last decades. The prosthetic bridge may require replacement or adjustment over time due to normal wear. Your dentist will advise you on a maintenance schedule to maximise the longevity of your implants.
Yes. In most cases, a temporary fixed bridge is attached on the same day as implant surgery. You will not leave the clinic without teeth. The permanent final bridge is fitted after a healing period of three to six months, once the implants have fully fused with the jawbone.
Most patients do not need bone grafting for All-on-4. The two rear implants are placed at an angle specifically to maximise contact with available bone, which is why the procedure works well even in patients who have experienced some bone loss. In cases where bone volume is insufficient, your dentist will discuss bone grafting as a preparatory option.
All-on-4 uses four implants per arch, while All-on-6 uses six. The additional implants in All-on-6 provide a wider distribution of bite force, which may be recommended for patients requiring greater stability or who have higher chewing demands. The right option depends on your bone structure and clinical needs, which your dentist will assess during consultation.
Good candidates are individuals who are missing most or all of their teeth in one or both arches, have adequate bone volume to support four implants, and are in reasonable general health. Patients who struggle with loose dentures or have teeth that cannot be saved are also strong candidates. A clinical examination and CT scan at our Tanjong Pagar or Marine Parade clinic will confirm your suitability.
Most patients resume light daily activities within a day or two. Mild swelling, bruising, and sensitivity are common in the first week. A soft diet is recommended for the first few weeks while the implants heal. Full osseointegration — the process by which implants fuse with the jawbone — takes three to six months, after which your permanent bridge is fitted.
Care for All-on-4 implants much like natural teeth: brush twice daily, use a water flosser or interdental brush to clean under the bridge, and attend regular check-ups. Avoid very hard foods that could stress the bridge. Good oral hygiene is the most important factor in the long-term success of your implants.
